Description: Original 18th century copper plate engraving of the Northern France Port town of Dunkirk. This fine antique engraving shows the extensive walled defensive structure in some detail before it was demolished. This plan has a scale of 400 Fathoms.
Some foxing/browning. Right hand margin cropped (by the original binder). Small closed tear to the same edge. Small pin prick hole in the center of the image. The paper appears to have a watermark which looks like another plan or map. Creases to the bottom margin.
